Arvind Singhal, PE, Regional Vice President, East Coast

Arvind Singhal loves racquet sports, so it’s not unusual for him to fall back on a playbook if a situation requires it. Case in point: in a game like racquetball, there are three basic rules—keep the ball moving, don’t get hit by the ball and score the most points—and he is known to practice these same skills on and off the court.
Singhal has over 30 years of experience in engineering, contracting, construction and project management. As vice president of construction, he is responsible for new business development, project management, and leading an expanding team of professionals who work on projects throughout the country.
Prior to joining FNG, Singhal was the sole proprietor of Wyandotte Construction Company, LLC, a construction management firm that left its mark on Michigan’s landscape with the design and construction of the Wyandotte Medical building. Throughout his career, he has either constructed, renovated or expanded projects, scoring points with clients such as Henry Ford Hospital, Riverside Hospital, United States Postal Service, Ann Arbor Transportation Authority, Lakeland Correctional Facility, Eastern Michigan University, W.J. Maxey Training School, City of Detroit, City of Wayne, and the City of Atlanta.
He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Michigan; he has designed heating, venting and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, plumbing and fire protection systems, ducts, and chilled water systems for projects that also required his expertise in project planning, reporting, scheduling and negotiation. He has managed a security system project for three water treatment plants and 25 water pumping stations. Each facility required critical evaluations of the existing plants and customized hardware and software installations.
He is currently managing various projects for U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Huntsville, AL; Louisville, KY; St. Louis, MO; Philadelphia, PA; Baltimore, MD; Selfridge Air National Guard Base and Battle Creek Air National Guard. Additionally, he manages projects for Detroit Housing Commission and URS Corporation in Detroit, MI.
Singhal uses a range of offensive and defensive strategies to help his teams rack up points in quality, safety and customer satisfaction. Like his skill on the court , he knows it’s a process of continuous improvement.
